Important updates

CA2 was appointed by order of the Ontario Superior Court as the Claims Administrator of Haikola v. The Personal Insurance Company et al. class proceeding.

The Personal Privacy Class Action Settlement involved allegations that The Personal had breached certain terms of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act if credit scores were accessed as part of The Personal's claims management process when its insureds made claims under their automobile insurance policy.

The Action was certified as a class proceeding on October 7, 2019.
The Opt Out Deadline was December 6, 2019 at 11:59 pm.
The Claim Deadline was February 7, 2020 at 11:59 pm.

The deadline to submit claims has expired and the settlement administration has been concluded.
